We believe that informed Vincentians are spiritually dedicated Vincentians who apply their spiritual and temporal training and knowledge to their actions as they go about their work helping those in need in their local communities. They continue to fulfill Frederic Ozanam’s wish to “embrace the whole world in a network of Charity.”
Our committee members are representatives from each of the 5 Canadian regions. We seek out, research, develop and draft educational and training materials and programs that enhance and support the work of conferences and councils and their members. We endeavor to ensure that all educational and training materials and programs are securely rooted in and based upon our vision, mission and values statements.
We maintain a data bank of updated resources, materials and courses available within the Society in Canada, and will post these resources on the National website. We regularly review and update educational material and promote Orientation/Screening Program for New Vincentians. We contribute articles and updates on our plans and activities in the Vincenpaul magazine and in person at meetings.
Our latest initiative is to provide opportunities for “train the trainer” workshops delivered at the annual AGAs, and throughout our regions, using dedicated and local trainers; and encourage each region to develop their own specific training and orientation programs based on common Canadian Vincentian values. If you have any educational or training questions you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
